Chores take turns.

Recurring chores move on to the next person automatically. Whoever has done something ticks it off. Big chores can be split into subtasks, and if someone can’t make it, someone else steps in. potcha reminds you but never nags.

Who paid for what is all there.

Add what you paid for, or just scan the receipt. potcha splits it and shows what’s still open. There’s no “you owe”. You settle up via PayPal, Revolut or Wise, and you can keep an eye on contracts and notice periods too.

From recipe link to shopping list.

Paste a link from Chefkoch, Instagram or TikTok, and potcha turns it into a recipe. One tap, and the ingredients go on your shopping list, added up with what’s already there.

There’s also a meal plan you can invite each other to, a swipe vote for dinner and cooking timers that ring even in silent mode.

How to get started

  1. Get the app

    Install potcha on your iPhone and create an account with your email or “Sign in with Apple”.

  2. Set up your flat

    Give your flat a name. potcha creates an invite code for it.

  3. Invite your flatmates

    Share the code, the others join, and off you go. You decide together which areas you use.

The essentials on your Home Screen, plus Siri and Shortcuts for adding to the shopping list.

Cooking timers

Several timers at once, as a Live Activity on your Lock Screen. They ring even in silent mode.

Your flat is your business.

potcha shows no ads and doesn’t track you. Your data is stored on servers in Frankfurt. Only you can see personal tasks and private shopping items, and you can delete your account yourself at any time.

Frequently asked questions

When is potcha coming out?

Soon. We’re putting on the finishing touches. potcha is coming to the App Store for iPhone and Apple Watch.

Does everyone in the flat need an iPhone?

At launch, potcha is available for iPhone and Apple Watch. An Android version and a web version are in the works, so soon everyone in the flat can join in, whatever device they use.

Do we have to use every area?

No. You only switch on the areas you need. Everyone can also rearrange their own dashboard and hide cards.

What happens when someone moves out?

Anyone moving out leaves the flat in the settings. Shared expenses stay so the others’ accounts still add up. If they also delete their account, they only appear there as “Former member”.

On servers in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. You’ll find the details in our privacy policy.
